Trust & Safety Score

Understand how FairClose calculates seller trust scores and how they help you make informed purchasing decisions.

1

What is a Trust Score?

Every seller on FairClose receives a trust score (grade A+ through F) based on their transaction history, shipping speed, buyer satisfaction, and dispute resolution rate. Higher scores indicate more reliable sellers.

2

How Scores Are Calculated

The algorithm considers: completion rate (orders fulfilled vs. cancelled), shipping speed (actual vs. promised), buyer ratings (post-purchase feedback), dispute rate (claims filed against the seller), and account age.

3

Buyer Protection Still Applies

Regardless of a seller's grade, every purchase on FairClose is covered by our Buyer Protection program. Your payment is held in escrow until delivery is confirmed and the inspection window has passed.

4

Grade Breakdown

A+/A: Excellent performance, top-tier sellers. B+/B: Good performance, reliable sellers. C+/C: Average performance, newer sellers. D/F: Below average, proceed with caution. All sellers are verified before listing.

5

Improving Your Score (For Sellers)

Ship promptly, communicate with buyers, accurately describe items, handle returns professionally, and maintain consistent activity on the platform.
