Brand Verification & Badges

Understand what Verified, Luxury, and Collectible brand badges mean and how they help you shop with confidence.

1

What is Brand Verification?

FairClose maintains a curated database of authenticated brands. Each brand undergoes review by our curation team to ensure it represents a legitimate, recognized brand in the luxury, designer, or collectible space. Verified brands display a blue shield icon.

2

Verified Badge

The blue shield badge indicates a brand has been reviewed and confirmed as a recognized, legitimate brand by FairClose's curation team. This does not guarantee individual item authenticity β€” that's handled by our escrow and inspection process.

3

Luxury Badge

The gold diamond badge identifies premium luxury brands known for exceptional craftsmanship and heritage. Examples include Rolex, Hermès, Cartier, and Louis Vuitton. Luxury-badged items may receive enhanced authentication recommendations.

4

Collectible Badge

The purple star badge marks brands with strong collector demand. Items from collectible brands (such as Air Jordan, Supreme, or vintage Patek Philippe) often appreciate in value and attract dedicated collectors.

5

Where Badges Appear

Brand badges are displayed on the brand directory, brand landing pages, listing detail pages, search result cards, and the create-listing brand selector. They serve as trust signals throughout the buying journey.

6

How Brands Get Verified

Our curation team continuously evaluates brands based on market presence, seller demand, buyer interest, and authenticity verification feasibility. Sellers can suggest new brands when creating listings β€” these enter a review queue.
